About IPFA

Preserving heritage. Inspiring discovery.

An imagined culinary institution dedicated to celebrating artisanal pickles, thoughtful tasting, and the culture of brine.

Who we are

We find wonder in what others overlook.

The International Pickle Founders Association is a fictional celebration of pickle craftsmanship, inspired by the reverence normally reserved for fine wine and exceptional ingredients.

Our story begins with a simple belief: the liquid left behind in a jar can be every bit as expressive as the pickle itself. Aroma, salt, acid, herbs and regional ingredients create flavors worth exploring.

Through our imagined recognition program and educational stories, we invite cooks and curious tasters to see ordinary ingredients in a new light.

The sensory approach

Not merely a pickle. A point of view.

A great brine has personality: a first impression, a recognizable aromatic signature, a balance of acidity and salinity, and a finish that lingers.

In our fictional association's world, the tasting glass becomes a way to consider the roots of the cucumber, the hands that grew it, and the culinary possibilities inside every jar.
